Canterbury College presents a piano duet charity concert at St Mary Bredin Church (59 Nunnery Fields, Canterbury, CT1 3JN). The recital will feature music by Debussy, Ravel, Gershwin, as well as arrangements of classics of film music (Citizen Kane, North by Northwest, Streetcar Named Desire, Spartacus). The Ivory Duo is a distinguished husband-and-wife ensemble with pianists Natalie Tsaldarakis and Panayotis Archontides. The pianists have performed in such venues as St-Martin-in-the-Fields, St John's, Smith Square, the Sibelius Academy, Athens Concert Hall (Megaron) etc.Panayotis was the recipient of the coveted Silver Medal of the Worshipful Company of Musicians (2007), and Natalie, who is the new coordinator for HE Music Provision at Canterbury College, was elected to membership by the American National Music Honour Society Pi Kappa Lambda in 1994. The concert will benefit both the Footlights Trust Canterbury and ClassicFM's Music Makers, and is sponsored by Steinway&Sons. Both the Lord Mayor of Canterbury and her Consort have confirmed their attendance at the concert.
